Script Teasers Festivals:
In October 2001 MPI inaugurated an annual program
of short plays which was held at Café Don’t
Tell Mama on 46th street. In early Fall of 2002,2003 and 2004
the script teasers Festival was held at the New York City
Friars Club. View

Runway:
A collaboration between MPI members, Runway
is a musical that satirizes the fashion industry. A Backer’s
Audition was held January 2004 at a prominent Seventh
Avenue showroom that attracted many leaders in the fashion industry
as well as Broadway producers.
Spring Showcases: In May 2003 MPI inaugurated a Spring Showcase
at the Vital Theatre on 42nd Street, featuring
two full-length plays—Mind
Tricks by Mimi Scott and Pinochle
and Roses by Judith Estrine. The a Second
Spring Showcase, featuring Shakespeare' Revenge
by Phil Reissmanalso took place at
the Vital Theatre on 42nd Street in May 2004.
